Sleeping Crows

Status Update: October 2025

Not much to be had at this time. I’ve been nose to the grindstone most of the year, often outside of the normal creative content I used to post. The first half of the year was a solid start, plowing through some much needed practical skills.

I wish could exude more on it, but best not to.

On the art side of things, it’s feels like it’s at a standstill. As for the job prospects… lackluster to say the least. We’ve seen many stories of ghost jobs over the past year, and I can attest to that. For the industry I had tried to break into over the spring and the summer, it was nothing but silence. Or the occasional recruiter calling just to say I didn’t have the experience.

Despite all that, The LORD still called upon me to serve in what ways I can, and that’s all I can ask for.

For now it’s a waiting game, but I will not rest on my laurels. Even if what I’m pursuing slams the door shut in the coming days or months, I’m not betting everything on it.

After the summer lull, I started going through the back-end courses from boot.dev, and have learned more in the past month than I have piddling around with different game engines. Some of it’s just review, but much of it has been eye-opening into core concepts I sort of understood, but really didn’t as it turns out.

I’m starting to look into commenting systems again, I had originally planned to get it in much sooner but It slipped my mind when more pressing matters came up. For the moment, using the telegram channels is the best option for now, even if it’s mostly cryptic one-liners and bizarre screen grabs of half-baked work.
